The upside-down one — an auto-lock top that forms a finished display face, with product loaded from below.
The bottom-load display carton flips the usual auto-lock box on its head — literally. Instead of a crash-lock base you fill from above, the auto-lock sits on top: the moment you erect the flat blank, the top snaps into a rigid, finished, already-printed display face, and you load the product up through the open bottom before closing the base last. That inversion exists for a reason. Because the display face forms itself on erection, nothing folds, tucks, or scuffs across the front the customer sees — it stays pristine straight off the line. And loading from underneath is the gentle way to pack fragile or awkward things — glass, bottles, jars, tall or tippy items — that you'd rather lift up into a box than drop down into one. It's also the cover half of a two-piece pack: the closed top and open base let it drop like a hood over a product cluster or a separate base tray. That makes it a niche but genuinely useful pick for premium fragile goods, bottom-fill automated lines, and telescoping display-and-ship setups — anywhere the top is the hero and the product comes from below. It's the mirror image of the tuck top auto bottom box, which locks on the bottom and fills from the top the normal way; and if you actually want the top left open for grab-and-display, the open-top display box is the one to reach for instead. One thing to plan when you generate it: since the top is your finished display face and the bottom is your loading door, set your board and caliper accurately so the auto-lock top forms square and crisp — a value that's off will show on the exact face you most want clean. Then set your length, width, and height, and PackMyMan lays the auto-lock top and open base out correctly for your board, exporting a production-ready dieline in SVG, DXF, or PDF.
